HP increase with installation of new AJP test pipe

by DavidY on January 31, 2008

AJP’s new test pipeChris from Fort Meyers, FL is a very happy driver. He had plenty of time to enjoy more whp on the 4-hour drive from Fort Lauderdale, FL back home. Well, it was less than 4 hours because of the new AJP test pipe he had us install on his 2007 Civic SI.

Although he had a Greddy turbo kit, he was only getting 202whp. We pulled the cat off and installed the test pipe. The dyno run now showed 239 whp.

A few explanations:

Chris of Fort Meyers Honda Civic SI 2007 before, after test pipe1) The dark blue line is the run with the cat still installed. Note that the car barely made it over 7500rpm because the cat was clogged.

2) Our Dynocom dyno has a special slot in the middle so that we can swap the cat out and install the test pipe without having to move the car off the dyno.

Chris will return in a few weeks to tune the car up to 10psi and make his driving even more enjoyable.

” I would highly recommend those of you that have a stock civic with a stock Greddy get this done ASAP.” – Chris

We don’t know – this is the first test pipe ever. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to try one on our kit soon.

A high-flow cat is in the works. Stay tuned.

Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss the cost, how you can get it and the price of the turbo kit.

Sorry, but we are unable to send someone out to install our kit. First, we cannot bring all of our tools with us and second, it would be better for you to find someone locally to install and support your kit over the long-term.
