A Mugen Finally Gets an AJP Turbo
“That is one sweeeeeeeeeet running car though.” Brad’s Rebuild, March 5, 2009
20,000 people will get to know what an AJP Turbo kit sounds like this year. That’s because in Sikeston, MO, a town of 20,000, it will be difficult, if not impossible to miss a 2008 Honda Civic Mugen Si sedan with an AJP turbo.
The installation was done by Brad’s Rebuild, and when we saw their installation pictures, our jaws dropped in amazement. These guys know their stuff and their attention to detail is impeccable.
In addition to the turbo kit which included the AEM Fuel/Ignition Controller on top of the Hondata reflash, Brad’s Rebuild also installed a Wavetrac differential.
This installation marks the first ever Mugen to get an AJP turbo kit. It also marked the first Honda Civic Si to get the AJP 3″ exhaust for the sedan.
Unfortunately, there are no dyno graphs for this car because as Brad’s Rebuild said, “Don’t have a dyno anywhere near Sikeston. All us country folks go by the seat of the pants. It runs perfect though.”
And that’s the important part.
