Honda Civic Si’s TSI Turbo Kit Finally Wakes Up
Peter’s TSI turbo kit was giving him fits – after $800 of tuning, he still had no boost to speak of. He had upgraded his injectors, intercooler and intercooler piping in an attempt to get more power. But all efforts to help him failed. He barely cleared 200 whp.
The Iraq War veteran happened to be relocating from Seattle, WA to Miami, FL and his brother pointed him to AJP. It took three days of driving, but they made it safe and sound. And when they left the shop a few hours later, they were listening to the wonderful sound of the turbo boosting the car to 300 whp at 11 psi.
We upgraded his fuel pump to a Walbro 255. We also determined that his AEM F/IC was not working. Replacing that and putting a good tune in it was all he needed.
